Some new invitations

I created these little invites for Betsy's bridal shower and bachelorette parties in June. I can't wait for the Gilmore Girls-themed shower...coffee, pie, yellow daisies and Sam Phillips!

A Saturday well spent.

This is a Piranha Plant (the little guy that pops out of pipes and tries to eat Mario) I made yesterday. All made of felt, with some floral wire inside to make a little bendy.

I love you, Gumballhead.

I want to make a new drawing to send to my nephew every week. He'll probably critique them and say they're not very good, but it's the thought that counts, right?

Milwaukee Public Museum 2/5/11

There are creepy "historical" mannequins everywhere, including these terrifying children. The Mummies of the World exhibit was really cool though-the first time I've seen mummies from anywhere but Egypt or the Roman Empire. They had South American mummies that were so well preserved their skin still had color and their hair looked like a live person's.

Also check out the butterfly room:
Butterflies are everywhere, and sometimes they'll try to escape on people's clothing so there's a mirror to check yourself before you leave!
